Familia Traversa hand harvest Cabernet Franc and Tannat grapes from the area of Paso Cuello in Canelones, Uruguay; an area known for its highly calcareous soils, mild Bordeaux-style climate, and affinity for French varietals.40% of the wine is aged in American oak barriques (second and third use) for 6 months.
Complex aromas with tobacco leaf, spice, raspberry and cassis fruits. Smooth and elegant on the palate with lovely refreshment, underpinned by plum and dark chocolate characters. Try with roast lamb, duck confit, aged cheeses such as Roquefort or hearty cheese dishes like macaroni cheese.
