The grapes for this gorgeous Viognier come from the Chilean Central Valley. The climate is Mediterranean with relatively high humidity, moderately rainy winters and warm, dry summers with cool nights. These conditions encourage the vines to produce healthy grapes, which translates into delicately textured wines with intense aromas. The wine is kept in contact with its lees for two weeks to increase complexity and gain softness.
Vina Edmara Viognier holds aromas of apricots, pineapple, peaches, kiwi fruit and hints of citrus flowers on the nose. These are then carried through to the palate with a soft texture, good body and a refreshing finish. Try with roast chicken, turkey, poached salmon or curry.
Vina Edmarawork closely with a handful of the finest winemakers in Chile. They source the grapes for their wine from two main areas: the rich Central Valley area and the cooler Coastal Area. All exhibit the maximum-freshness fruit for which Chile is famous. Viña Edmara wines reflect Chile and the typicity of each of the varietals and of their terroir.
