Villa Tinta Odesa Black is made from the the Ukrainian grape Odessky Cherny (which is a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Alicante Busche grape varieties). Aged in French oak for 9 months before bottling. Despite the ongoing turmoil, Ukraine’s winemakers are battling on to continue their harvests and heritage.
Dark red with a ruby tint, this wine reveals aromas of spices, plum jam & leather notes on the nose. On the palate it’s a complex wine which is fulled bodied and velvety with pleasant tannins to finish. Try with spiced lamb dishes, beef, stuffed peppers and a variety of cheese.
For more than 15 years, the Villa Tinta winery produced wines familiar to many consumers, bottled under the name of other well-known brands. In 2017, the company decided to enter the Ukrainian market with its own brand creating a collection of fantastic wines.
