The Talo range of wines was created to collectively thank the farmers of San Marzano who, with their families, look after each vineyard as if it were their own garden. A collection of different varieties that symbolises community. This Primitivo di Manduria is aged in French and American oak barrels for 6 months.
A wine that is ruby red enriched with violet reflections, it shows a generous bouquet of ripe cherry and plum, with pleasant notes of cocoa and vanilla. Velvety texture on the palate with notes of persistent sweetness on the elegant finish. Try with lamb, game, dishes with rich sauces, or hard cheese.
San Marzano winery is based in the same-named small town that lies right in the centre of the prestigious Primitivo di Manduria appellation – a strip of land between the seas that wash over Italy’s Puglia region. Winemaking since the 1960’s, San Marzano now have 120 hectares – their garden by the sea – showcasing true Mediterranean beauty.
