This unoaked Riesling is from the steep slopes (Steillage) of the Mosel Valley where lots of sun, slate (Schiefer) soils and the mirror-effect of the Mosel River ensure grapes reach full ripeness in the cool climate. It teases the nose and tongue with zingy citrus fruit and crisp green apple before a long, appealing finish. A superb partner for salty nibbles and Asian cuisine such as light and spicy fish or creamy chicken dishes.
The Terroir collection from Reh Kendermann are wines designed to reflect the slate, loess and limestone soils of Germany’s vineyards. Varying between 10,000 and 400 million years old, the combination of these soil types and grape variety determines the unique character of these elegant, contemporary wines.
