Poças Decanter Special Reserve Tawny Port

Poças is a Portuguese independent company producing Port and DOC Douro wines since 1918.This is a special collector’s edition made with a judicious blend of superior quality Tawny Ports matured in wood, selected among the best of several harvests, approved by the IVDP (Instituto dos Vinhos do Douro e do Porto) to use the denomination Special Reserve.

Deep ruby in colour with caramel and nutty aromas enriched by scents of warm roasted coffee. Rich and rounded on the palate with notes of date, fig and dried fruits. Good structure and balanced tannins. Slightly fresh on the finish. Try with cheese, assorted pastries, dried fruits, or desserts. Can be served room temp, or slightly chilled.

With more than 100 years of life, Poças is currently in the hands of the 4th generation, being one of the rare Port Wine companies that was born Portuguese and has remained in the hands of the same family since its foundation. They own 3 Estates located in Douro Demarcated Region (Quinta das Quartas, Quinta de Santa Bárbara and Quinta de Vale de Cavalos) with more than 70 hectares of vineyard, where all of the grapes come from.
