Franschhoek Cellar is a beautiful estate on the Franschhoek Valley wine route of South Africa, and is home to an exquisite range of award-winning wines created to fully complement their cuisine. Baker Station is their Shiraz using grapes from vines aged between 7 and 20 years. Daily pump-overs and punch downs during fermentation, before 8 to 12 months of oak maturation.
The resulting deep ruby wine shows exuberant mulberry, plum, pepper and modest oak spice supported by soft, ripe tannins. Well structured and balanced with a juicy finish. Recommended with spicy and smoked meats, mature cheddar or blue veined cheese.
