Domaine Fichet take advantage of the unique terroir of white limestone in chalk and clay of their vineyards to produce this beautifully fresh and light Bourgogne Pinot Noir. A mix of old and new vine grapes with 20% oaked for 15 months in French oak, the result is a light to medium bodied wine full of red cherry and strawberry with a slight savoury aspect. A great starting point for those unfamiliar with Burgundy or for Burgundy lovers who enjoy decent wine at a decent price. Try with game or tomato pasta dishes.
Francis Fichet was one of the first to plant Pinot Noir in the highly Chardonnay dominant region of Burgundy and his original plantings are now over 30 years old. New investment in a modern, new winery has led Domaine Fichet to continue improvement year on year. Green harvesting is used to manage yields and ensure grapes are of the highest quality.
