This excellent value Chateauneuf du Pape is from modern-minded, eco-citizen winery Vignobles & Compagnie. Established in 1963, they have spent the past 25+ years bulding solid ties with the Rhone winegrowers, encouraging practices that are more respectful of the environment and people.

70% Grenache and 30% Syrah, grapes are hand selected from organic certified vineyards. Chais du Batard is an elegant, harmonious and succulent wine with beautiful and profound ruby colour. Delicate aromas of red fruit and undergrowth precede a rich, full mouth, good length and a powerful truffle finish. Try with rich beef and lamb dishes such as slow cooked stews, stuffed and spiced mushrooms and peppers, or hard mature cheeses.
