A soft and fruity Marzemino, produced by Cantina Lavis who use manually harvested grapes from vineyards in Trentino, Italy. After harvesting this is followed by fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged on the lees for approximately 5/6 months. This is done partly in fiberglass reinforced concrete tanks and partly in barrels that have been used once before.
This gorgeous wine is bright ruby red with a vivid purple hue when poured. On the nose a bouquet of woodland fruit is coupled with violet. A fruit forward palate with lots of blackberries and red currants with a refined tannic structure. A balanced, soft wine with a smooth finish. Try with roasted white meats, polenta, mushrooms or steak tartar.
