Bolney Bubbly Traditional Method from England’s exceptional Bolney Estate blends hand picked Muller Thurgau, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes. 20% of the fruit is crush-destemmed and 80% whole-bunch pressed. Cool fermented in stainless steel for around 14 days before ageing on the lees for a minimum of 12 months prior to disgorgement in order to accentuate fruit.
Delightful floral and brioche notes combine with zesty citrus fruit, honeysuckle and elderflower. It is a delicate and well balanced sparkling wine, finishing with a soft fresh hint of sweetness. Try with tuna, chicken risotto, salmon en croute, cold cured meats, soft or mild cheeses.
Bolney Estate was established in 1972 by Janet and Rodney Pratt, who worked with dedication to achieve a coveted Silver Award at the IWSC (International Wine & Spirit Competition) in 1985 – a great achievement for English wine. Their first proper winery was opened in 2005 and it has been onwards and upwards ever since, with international recognition for their sparkling wines that rival the best in Europe.
